Maintenance Specialist

Polytec Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their Estates and Facilities team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for onsite electrical and mechanical servicing and repairs. Key responsibilities include:* Planned and preventive maintenance on all plant systems and services* Supervising external service providers and contractors* Liaising with end users to plan maintenance works or project works* Identifying fault diagnostics and taking appropriate action to resolve these* Overseeing the operation of steam boilers and systemsRequirements:* A recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications* Full UK driving licence* Experience of working in a complex building with responsibility for electrical and/or mechanical systems* Good working knowledge of engineering services and building maintenance* Understanding of work-related health and safety risks and mitigation strategies* Experienced in BMS systems* Understanding of HVAC systems* Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and handheld devicesBenefits:* Competitive salary* 40 days annual leave
