Commercial Analyst Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Analyst

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Job Summary

Spinwell Global Limited is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering commercial services within the specified function or functions, ensuring that these services are delivered within the Council's framework of quality standards, performance targets, budgetary control, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver commercial services within the specified function or functions.
  • Support the Head of Service and Commercial Manager as part of the service team, in delivering the corporate vision, values, and strategic priorities of the Council.
  • Support the delivery of projects such as the Commercial Income Review and the Garage Asset Review through identifying, researching, and assisting with the development of commercial opportunities, including funding, commercial models, transformation, and innovation across the organisation as part of our Commercial Strategy.
  • Analyse and present data to various stakeholders throughout a programme/project lifecycle to support and evidence decision-making.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Specialists, and other Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Commercial Strategy is delivered effectively.
  • Act as an internal consultant to the Head of Service, Commercial Manager, and senior management on allocated work streams.
Requirements
  • Good level of general education including English and Maths.
  • Commercial/Business Analysis.
  • Ability to analyse and report data from a variety of systems, including financial reports.
  • Ability to identify and extract key data for specific commercial analysis.
  • Ability to analyse and present data that can be used to shape key commercial decisions.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and confident user of other Microsoft products including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Confident in challenging performance across the organisation, including with senior managers.
  • Ability to develop innovative new performance ideas.
