Job Title: Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Sprint Recruitment Limited. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Heavy Vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring vehicles meet the minimum standards required by the DVSA.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA between scheduled service/inspection dates.
• Maintain vehicle chassis and associated vehicle auxiliary engine in line with the service planner and company policies.
• Work on a range of vehicles from light commercial to HGV vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times.

Requirements:
• Experienced mechanic level 3, ideally NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicles.
• Familiar with diagnostic systems and HGV repairs, with main dealer standards.
• Trailer experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work unsupervised, with a high standard of work and flexibility around working hours and days.
• Organised with day-to-day paperwork, such as job sheets and parts ordering.
