About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Much Wenlock.

The salary for this role is approximately £35,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

The Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate equipment failures and suggest improvements to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to discuss maintenance strategies.
  • Install and maintain plant and equipment according to Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.
  • Minimize production downtime by efficiently resolving issues.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Team Leader to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Set up new areas within production as required.
  • Attend regular maintenance meetings to stay informed and aligned with team objectives.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout all work activities.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar maintenance role is essential for success in this position.
  • Holding a relevant engineering qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3, or 17th/18th edition certification, is highly desirable.
  • The ability to work indoors and outdoors is necessary, as some maintenance tasks will be performed in outbuildings.
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance is required for this role.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Candidates with multi-skilled abilities, ideally with a balance of mechanical and electrical expertise, are highly sought after.
