Mechanic Technician

About the Role
Tradebe is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our Fawley site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and defect maintenance tasks, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact plant availability.
- Conduct risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe and efficient maintenance practices.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.
- Provide mechanical maintenance support to other colleagues and departments as needed.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and processes to enhance departmental performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and installation, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Knowledge of DCS, ESD, and PLC-based control systems.
- NVQ Level III or HNC in mechanical maintenance, or equivalent qualifications.
- Valid driving license and FLT driver certification.
