About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior NDT Specialist to join our team at ZipRecruiter, supporting the preparation of parts for our cars using advanced NDT methods. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in NDT techniques and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct inspections using Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, MPI Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, and Visual Inspection to aerospace standards.
  • To travel as required to fulfill the requirements of the role, which may involve working at various locations, including the Silverstone Factory/Brackley premises.
  • To maintain and develop skill levels to aerospace standard and stay up-to-date with current NDT methods, participating in ongoing training and professional development.
  • To perform any other duties reasonably requested aligned to your job role, utilizing your expertise to support the success of our team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 2 NDT Qualification (EN4179/PCN) is required, along with a thorough understanding of Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, and Visual Inspection.
  • An excellent working knowledge of A-Scan and Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection, both handheld and immersion, and Eddy Current Inspection is necessary.
  • An excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to company NDT specifications and procedures is required, ensuring accurate results and timely completion of tasks.
  • Knowledge of X-Ray and CT scan would be advantageous, and previous experience as an NDT Technician in Formula One, high-level Motorsport, or Aerospace would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in NDT report writing is essential, and self-motivation, ability to motivate others, and effective communication skills are required to thrive in a challenging environment.
  • The ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales, with minimal supervision, is crucial for this role.
  • A willingness to undertake further training as required and a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety is mandatory.

Compensation: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
