We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

Job Description

As an Automation Solutions Developer at RAMP Inc., you will have the opportunity to design and develop class-leading automation solutions by contributing to machine concepts, design of control software, integration of software with electrical and mechanical systems, and process development.

The programming and integration assignments involve processes utilizing PLC's, PC's, robotics, motion controllers, vision systems, laser, and other controllers.

You will design and implement PLC and/or PC-based programs specific to customer and project requirements.

This includes specifying, testing, and qualifying control hardware components in conjunction with systems and electrical design.

You will work directly with internal and external teams to observe devices and processes in operation, locate root cause problems, and develop solutions both short and long term.

Additionally, you will travel as required to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and training tasks.

You will perform efficiency studies including OEE and failure analysis.

Your work must be performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with RAMP Inc. business policies.

You will support the Applications Group in cost estimating for potential projects.

You will also advise your team on the direction of the project and ensure its accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with experience in aspects of controls system design, including motion control and vision systems.

An engineering designation or college technical program related to automation, electrical design, or robotics is required.

Strong programming, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills are essential.

A working knowledge of robotic systems, such as Fanuc, Kuka, or ABB, is an asset.

Experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots is also an asset.

A knowledge of AutoCAD, ePLAN, or Solidworks is beneficial.
