Job Description

**Job Title:** Transport Operations Coordinator

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team at Stobart. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of our transport fleet and ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of organizational requirements relating to drivers, depot, and yard staff.
  • Attend to and coordinate first-line HR matters relating to the depot and driver workforce in conjunction with the Transport Manager.
  • Ensure the maintenance of company assets and the depot is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support the Transport Manager in delivering continuous improvement initiatives through effective data analysis and communication.
  • Take ownership of identifying issues and seeking resolutions.
  • Report vehicle/trailer defects and escalate to the fleet department and relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete daily risk assessments of the yard and office.
  • Ensure legal compliance by keeping track of working time directives for the driver workforce.
  • Coordinate CPC driver records.
  • Ensure customer demand is met by proactively managing driver resource vs vehicle requirements.
  • Upkeep of vehicle allocation.
  • Staff absence.
  • New starter and leaver information.
  • Driver holiday request submissions.
  • Assist the Transport Manager with the interview process for drivers.
  • Ensure all personnel files are up to date.
  • Manage driver expenses.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record within the transport and logistics industry.
  • Understanding of Tachograph legislation and EU Drivers House and WTD Legislation.
  • Strong IT skills with particular experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ideal experience with transport in-house systems, such as Microlise and GTS.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
