Job Overview

This internship offers a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, plus pension contributions. You will work on projects related to EV and hybrid systems, engine hardware development, and high-performance engine calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for testing, calibration, and commissioning of developed ICE/EV/HEV control systems and associated documentation.
  • Back up engineers with troubleshooting, system start-up, test, and racetrack support.
  • Support commercial processes and acquire new projects.
  • Aid market research efforts to identify new potential markets and customers.
  • Configure and calibrate MoTeC core product range (ECU/VCU, display, power distribution, logging system etc) for ICE/EV/HEV applications.
  • Work on R&D topics for EV programmes.

Requirements

  • An electrical/electronics, mechatronics, or computer science engineering degree (predicted 2:1 or higher).
  • Knowledge of engine hardware, combustion theory, and thermodynamics for high-performance engines.
  • Programming knowledge to develop ICE/EV/HEV control systems (Matlab/Simulink/C experience).
  • Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Assertiveness, ready to work under pressure, and good organisation.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
