Senior Advocate Job Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advocate to join our team in Dorset. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of children and young people.

About the Job

As a Senior Advocate, you will be responsible for managing a team of advocates, recruiting new members, and providing ongoing support and supervision to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.

Your duties will include:

  1. Leading the advocacy service in Dorset, promoting its values and mission
  2. Managing referrals and allocating cases to suitable advocates
  3. Conducting regular supervision sessions to ensure best practice
  4. Providing advocacy support to children and young people
  5. Monitoring referrals, activity, and budgets to inform data-driven decisions

Key Requirements

To succeed in this challenging role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in advocacy or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with bespoke systems and data reporting
