Job Description:

We are seeking a Theatre Recovery Lead to join our team at The Cherwell Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This role involves coordinating the transfer of patients from theatre to their beds or discharge area, ensuring a smooth and efficient process that prioritises patient safety and comfort.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the recovery team to ensure seamless communication and coordination with theatre staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and reduce waiting times.
  • Providing exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards of patient safety and hygiene.
  • Monitoring and reviewing patient data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in theatre recovery, preferably in an orthopaedic setting.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification.
  • ALS qualification desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
