Shift Leader Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock replenishment, and cash handling
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to team members to improve their skills and performance
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement store strategies and initiatives
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleaning and merchandising
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety and security protocols
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
  • Ability to lift and move stock as required
