About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated KS3 Science Teacher to join our team at Wetheringsett Manor School. As a Science Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for Science education and a proven track record of improving student outcomes. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to KS3 students, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging Science lessons, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, engaging, and meets the needs of all students.
Requirements
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Science, particularly at KS3 level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development of school-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in Science education.
About Us

Wetheringsett Manor School is a new independent day SEMH School for up to 42 pupils aged 11-18. Our dedicated team works together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

We pride ourselves in steering pupils in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Socially, we build confidence in our students, so they are able to have a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live.
