Job Description:

We are a forward-thinking construction company committed to sustainability and environmental excellence. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Design Sustainability Lead to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand and integrate their sustainability aspirations into our design processes.
  • Work closely with our clients and their sister company to deliver expert environmental advice and support across various stages of our projects.
  • Develop comprehensive sustainability strategies tailored to each project, ensuring that projects meet high environmental standards.
  • Establish clear sustainability targets and metrics for environmental, social, and economic impacts.
  • Stay updated on relevant sustainability regulations, building codes, and planning requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and planning requirements related to sustainability.
  • Oversee supply chain parties conducting sustainability assessments and simulations.
  • Identify and assess sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present sustainability reports, proposals, and documentation to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental and sustainability support to construction.
  • CSCS card relevant to the role.
  • Experience in conducting environmental and social assessments and driving performance improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with construction management software.
  • Proficiency in sustainability assessment and/or data reporting tools.
  • Strong financial skills, including budget preparation and supply chain cost management.
