Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Tutor to join our team at Randstad. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational support to students in Primary and Secondary schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Deliver Lesson Plans: Create engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
  • Assess and Record Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and record attainment levels.
  • Deliver High-Quality Sessions: Deliver sessions that support various learning styles and promote student engagement.
  • Drive Measurable Outcomes: Track and measure the impact of your sessions on student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with educational and care stakeholders to ensure student support and well-being.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding Guidelines: Ensure compliance with KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines at all times.
Desired Qualities and Experience:
  • Inspirational Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to inspire and motivate students.
  • Competent IT Skills: Have access to a laptop/computer, audio, and visual equipment, and possess stable broadband and internet connection.
  • Experience in Tutoring: Have experience in tutoring one-to-one or small groups needing additional educational or pastoral support.
  • Constructive Supervision Experience: Possess experience in constructive supervision and correction.
  • Experience in Inclusion Units: Have experience working in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions.
Essential Qualifications:
  • BA Hons (QTS): Possess a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with Qualified Teacher Status.
  • BEd: Hold a Bachelor of Education degree.
  • BSc Hons (QTS): Possess a Bachelor of Science Honours degree with Qualified Teacher Status.
  • CACHE Level 1 or 2: Hold a CACHE Level 1 or 2 qualification.
  • DET/DTTLS: Possess a DET/DTTLS qualification.
  • Early Childhood Studies Degree: Hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
  • Finance/Accounting Diploma: Possess a finance/accounting diploma.
  • Health and Social Care Experience: Have experience in health and social care.
  • Health and Social Care Qualifications (NVQ): Hold health and social care qualifications (NVQ).
  • HLTA: Possess a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • HR CIPD: Hold a Human Resources CIPD qualification.
  • NVQ Level 2: Possess a National Vocational Qualification Level 2.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Children: Hold a National Vocational Qualification Level 2 in Children.
  • NVQ Level 3: Possess a National Vocational Qualification Level 3.
  • NVQ Level 4: Hold a National Vocational Qualification Level 4.
  • PGCE: Possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
  • PGDE (Scotland): Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Scotland).
  • PTLLS: Possess a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification.
  • QTLS: Hold a Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills qualification.
  • SBM (School Business Manager) Qualification: Possess a School Business Manager qualification.
  • Schools Direct: Have experience in Schools Direct.
  • SCITT: Possess a School Centred Initial Teacher Training qualification.
