Spire Healthcare Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join their team at the Spire Histology Centre Manchester. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing exemplary patient care and contributing to the lab's success.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the SHC team in specimen reception, dissection, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, IHC, IQC/IQA, and annual mandatory training.
- Participate in the training of junior members of staff and maintain a personal CPD portfolio.
About the Role
The Spire Histology Centre is a purpose-built laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Vantage digital tracking, Macropath stations, Hologic Faxitron, and BenchMark Ultra platforms. Our lab is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 and is committed to providing an excellent service.
Requirements
- State registered BMS with a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a busy UK histology lab.
- Good team work ethic, flexibility, adaptability, enthusiasm, and energy.
