Geoscience Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Geoscience Consultant to join our team at Intertek. The successful candidate will have experience in offshore hydrographic, geophysical, or geotechnical survey industries or in the design and installation of subsea infrastructure.

As a Geoscience Consultant, you will support the delivery of subsea cable and offshore renewables projects on behalf of Intertek's clients. This will involve liaising directly with clients, contractors, and regulators, as well as managing work packages or projects.

About the Role:

• Subsea survey, cable installation, planning, and design
• Risk assessment and project management
• Working on a number of varied and multiple projects

Key Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical subject
• Experience within the offshore hydrographic, geophysical, and/or geotechnical survey industry or experience in the design and installation of subsea infrastructure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements for offshore projects
• Adaptable and flexible approach to varied and multiple project requirements
• Offshore Renewable Energy, Pipeline, or Cable project experience
• Technical understanding in one or more of the following: marine survey techniques, offshore engineering, design, and installation of offshore infrastructure, subsea technology
• Experience in large-scale data processing, interpretation, and visualization
• Technical proficiency in GIS, CAD, and industry-standard processing and software packages
• Industry-recognised health & safety management qualifications
• Marine survival and offshore medical certification
