Transforming Industrial Processes through Circular Economy Principles

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of circular economy models and resource-efficient energy systems. As a researcher in this position, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop policies and deploy technologies that promote sustainable energy use and industrial symbiosis.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in sustainability, environmental engineering, or a closely related field, along with expertise in lifecycle assessment, greenhouse gas metrics, and circular economy frameworks. Strong research skills, effective communication abilities, and experience working with diverse stakeholders are also essential.

About the Role

You will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team at Imperial College London, known for its leading-edge research in sustainability and resource efficiency. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on two groundbreaking projects, Theseus and StreamSTEP, which address critical challenges in circular economy and resource efficiency.

  • Conduct research and develop decision support systems for industrial processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement circular economy strategies
  • Analyze data and develop insights to inform policy development and technology deployment
