Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Preston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising care services, particularly in residential childcare, and possess exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement care plans in line with Ofsted regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of care staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, including staffing, budgeting, and overseeing training needs.
  • Ensure the provision of person-centered care that meets young people's individual needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with young people, families, and professionals.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in deputising or managing a children's home for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong background in residential childcare and knowledge of best practices and legislation.
  • Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and support staff.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing children's relevant plans in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management of a residential childcare setting or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years within a management role supporting children in a residential home.
