Job Summary

Dickson O'Brien Associates is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to provide financial support to our team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Support
    • Provide financial support to the team, including processing invoices, managing cash flow, and maintaining accurate financial records.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Commercial Support
    • Support the commercial team in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Assist in the preparation of commercial reports, including sales reports, customer account maintenance, and portfolio management.
  • Expense Management
    • Process and check expense claim forms, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manage the expense payment run, ensuring timely payment of expenses.
  • Credit Control
    • Update debt tracking spreadsheets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Chase customers for payment, maintaining credit control communication logs and ensuring clear and concise comments and actions.
    • Issue monthly client statements to all clients with a debtor balance.
  • Bank and Disbursements
    • Accurately post cashbook transactions, including receipts and payments.
    • Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Manage disbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Studying towards AAT or AAT qualified.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
