About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Postdoctoral Scientist to join our dynamic, diverse, and inclusive team at the University of Oxford. The Rehwinkel group is at the forefront of research into nucleic acid sensing by cytosolic innate immune receptors.

Research Focus

Our research focuses on the molecular biology of activation and regulation of innate immune receptors that survey the cytosol. We use a variety of virus infection models, including influenza A virus, HIV, and other retroviruses, flaviviruses such as Zika virus, SARS-CoV-2, and herpesviruses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out ground-breaking and innovative investigations in the field of immunology and virology.
  • Work independently within the established research programme.
  • Provide guidance to members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, PhD, and project students.
  • Hold a relevant PhD/Dphil, or close to completion, together with experience in the fields of immunology, virology, and/or cellular and molecular biology.
