Company Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Company Accountant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing both the Financial and Management Accounts for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Oversee the Purchase Ledger and ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Lead month-end reporting and provide insightful analysis to stakeholders
  • Manage fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Manage a team of two and provide guidance and support as needed

Requirements:
