Austin Fraser is seeking a skilled Construction Specialist to join their team.

This nationwide, home-based role requires occasional travel between offices, training hubs, and external providers. As a current assessor looking for a step up, this opportunity is ideal for those with significant construction experience and relevant higher education qualifications.

Key responsibilities include:

Job Purpose:
  1. Upgrading assessment standards and instruction for apprenticeships and standalone awards while ensuring compliance with Ofsted, ESFA funding, and Awarding Body standards.
  2. Managing internal verifications, coordinating others, overseeing sampling plans, conducting observations and quality checks, and ensuring compliance and quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Proven Assessor with Construction skills, holding a higher education qualification from the construction industry, preferably in house-building.
  2. Experience working for a commercial Independent Training Provider, collaborating with external educational organisations and regulators.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, communication, and influencing at all levels.
  4. KPI compliance, involving report preparation, data manipulation, and distribution of key trends.
  5. Ability to ensure compliance with Awarding Organisation/Funding agencies requirements.

Relevant Assessment Qualifications:

  1. Internal Verification certification, such as D34, V1, or TAQA (practical application) Level 4 award in Quality Assurance.
  2. Relevant construction industry qualification at level 6, e.g., Construction Management Degree, NVQ Site Management, or Senior Site Inspection.

Salary: Up to £57,500 per annum, plus a regional allowance of up to £7,500 depending on location, bonus, and excellent benefits, including course-paid opportunities.
