The role of an Outreach Tutor involves creating tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
The ideal candidate will be able to reengage pupils in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine. They will work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor progression and support effective learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons
- Bridging gaps in pupil's education
- Boosting engagement and attainment levels
We are seeking candidates with QTS or equivalent, UK classroom teaching experience, and experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils. A creative, patient, and outside-the-box thinker is required for this role.
The estimated salary for this position is £25+ per hour, based on industry standards for part-time contract work in Devon. Working hours can vary depending on convenient timings for families.
To be eligible for this role, applicants must hold the right to work in the UK, hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, and provide two professional child-related references.
