Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a skilled Physician to join its Student Health Services team. As a primary care physician, you will provide medical consultation and supervision to mid-level providers, ensuring the highest level of care for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary health care services to students, including medical consultation and supervision of mid-level providers.
• Cover for the Medical Director in their absence, including supervision of clinical and laboratory supervisors.
• Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to students.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited medical school with successful completion of a primary care residency program.
• Licensure to practice as a physician in the state of Virginia, with current DEA license.
• Board certification in a primary care specialty.
• Current basic life support CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a college health setting, with experience in sports medicine and women's health.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with a diverse student population.
