Academics Ltd is seeking an exceptional English teacher to join their team as Second in Charge English. This high-performing secondary school in Colchester offers a supportive, collaborative environment and opportunities for career progression.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will play a key leadership role, supporting the Head of Department in shaping the vision and direction of English across the school. Key responsibilities include leading on specific initiatives to improve teaching, learning, and assessment, mentoring and coaching members of the English team, and taking responsibility for aspects of curriculum development.
Key Requirements:
An experienced English teacher with a proven track record of success at GCSE and A-Level, a strong understanding of the UK English curriculum, and excellent leadership skills are essential for this role. A competitive salary, including TLR2, and opportunities for career progression make this a highly attractive opportunity for ambitious educators.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
