Job Description

Meritus is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to join our customer Ops team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining critical infrastructure for national security customers with a focus on Linux systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customer teams to design and implement Linux infrastructure solutions (on-prem, VMs, and cloud-hosted).
  • Automate infrastructure services using various programming languages (Shell, Python, Terraform, Bash).
  • Develop and implement DevOps and Platform Engineering skills with a view to moving into a DevOps capability.
Requirements:
  • Deep experience in Linux systems administration (on-prem and VMs).
  • Exposure to virtualization and container solutions (VMware and Docker).
  • Active DV Security Clearance.
Desirable Skills:
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell, or similar).
  • Exposure to AWS administration.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, Git, Octopus).
Package Details:
  • Salary up to £60,000.
