Senior Area Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Area Manager will provide strategic direction, leadership, and management of Aspire services in a specified area. This role will lead in the development and administration of Aspire, in accordance with its policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a strategic overview to Area Service Managers to enable them to establish, maintain, and develop a pattern of effective management that meets customers' individual needs.
- Contribute to Aspire's Annual Plan and individual Service Plans and initiatives.
- Be involved in the development of service provision, including multi-agency team working.
- Ensure that all services are managed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Aspire's policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Take a strategic approach to the support planning process.
- Deliver a service with a clear referral and entrance criteria.
- Attend and chair nomination panel meetings.
- Meet all the requirements under the CQC Regulations, including that of Registered Manager within the relevant service area.
- Prepare and present complex and contentious reports, and management information to a range of stakeholders, including non-specialists.
- Lead and undertake people-related tasks in relation to workforce planning, performance, and conduct, and health and wellbeing, in compliance with Aspire procedures.
- Promote wellbeing and safeguard adults from abuse, and ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported and the safeguarding plan is implemented.
- Take a lead in the recruitment and retention of the workforce.
- Effectively address, report, and act on all concerns in relation to customers and service delivery within the appropriate procedure.
- Promote and develop partnership working within the local community and with other stakeholders.
- Monitor and review effective rota management to meet the needs of customers within agreed budgets.
- Take accountability for all staffing budgets and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Undertake supervision and appraisal of Area Service Managers on a regular basis to meet the regulatory Standards.
- Lead on the implementation of an annual training plan and ensure it is monitored and updated on a regular basis.
- Take an active role and involve customers and staff in the ongoing service development of Aspire/Learning Disability Services and facilitate advocacy.
- Undertake designated roles within Aspire Procedures, such as Disciplinary, Grievance, and Discrimination Complaints, Attendance Management, and Improving Performance procedures.
- Undertake on-call duties as required.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the post.
- Comply with the requirements of all Aspire policies, procedures, and staff instructions, including responsibilities under the Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
- Actively promote and support Aspire Policies on Equality and Diversity and work in an anti-oppressive manner.
