Cyber Security Information Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Information Assurance Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Cyber Security team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on information assurance and cyber security matters to our customers in the Civil and Devolved Government and Energy (DG&E) division.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in information assurance and cyber security, with experience in conducting threat modelling, risk assessments, and developing risk treatment plans. You will also have a solid understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) and practical experience in applying that understanding in the management of risk and response to events and changes.
Responsibilities- Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments to identify potential security risks and develop risk treatment plans to mitigate those risks.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on information assurance and cyber security matters to our customers.
- Develop and implement information assurance plans to ensure the security of our customers' sensitive programmes.
- Collaborate with programme teams and customers to develop and implement information assurance plans.
- Conduct security assurance documentation and implement and manage ISMS.
- Experience of the IT systems engineering lifecycle.
- Understanding of the controlling processes for the systems engineering lifecycle (e.g. requirements management, configuration management, testing and assurance) and where cyber assurance fits into these.
- Solid understanding of CIA and practical experience in applying that understanding in the management of risk and response to events and changes.
- Experience of processes involved in gaining and maintaining accreditation for secure/sensitive systems using structured risk analysis and treatment approaches.
- Understanding of processes involved in gaining and maintaining certification for information security management systems, e.g. ISO27001.
- Exposure to tracing and evaluating responses to security requirements for a system.
- Experience in maintaining elements of security documentation sets (SyOps, RMADs, Security Management Plans, ISMS elements).
- Experience working in customer delivery environments.
- Experience working in CNI or Public Sector project environments.
- Understanding of different lifecycles/methodologies (waterfall, incremental, agile, DevOps).
Able to obtain UK SC clearance.
