Operations Director - Care Homes

Merco Medical Staffing Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead the efficient running of our care homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight across multiple care homes, ensuring each facility is managed to the highest standards.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor care home managers and staff, cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture aligned with our company values.
  • Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, reporting, and identifying growth opportunities. Implement strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while developing action plans to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor and continuously enhance the quality of care, ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Handle concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and oversee performance monitoring systems, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Proven experience in managing operations within a care home or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, business development, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire teams to deliver high-quality care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in care delivery and creating a positive, supportive environment for elderly residents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
