Job Title: Work Preparator

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Work Preparator to join our team at a Spirit site in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a staff role, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To increase efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance function.
  • Develop anomaly and project job plans and prepare them for scheduling and execution.
  • Develop and maintain long- and short-term schedules in conjunction with the site team.
  • To ensure the performance and availability of equipment and systems within all disciplines meet the required standards.
  • Operate and maintain the CMMS and its interfaces with cost, Materials, and planning groups in support of the CSP function.
Requirements:
  • Recognised technical Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline or equivalent training scheme.
  • HNC in a relevant discipline Engineering (post 2009 apprenticeships).
  • Proven on or offshore construction experience.
  • NVQ/SVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline (desirable).
  • Sap knowledge - preferred but training can be provided.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Provide proactive and visible SHE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour, and actions.
  • Highly motivated, eager to contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills. Maintain good relationships with key contacts.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to ensure actions delegated to others are carried out to customer's satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in continuing Professional Development to keep technical discipline skills up to date.
Competencies:
  • Able to carry out all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management system requirements, and best working practices as required by supervisor.
  • Able to complete work history/reports to the required standard as outlined by supervisor.
  • Ability to interpret/mark up technical drawings to as-built status.
