Business Analyst Opportunity

Select Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our client's finance team in Croydon. As a key member of the Senior Finance and IT team, you will play a crucial role in driving business success through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Produce and consolidate individual office and group management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Management Analysis: Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on the performance of the group from an underwriting perspective, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Process Improvement: Develop and implement internal control processes to enable automation, streamlining financial operations and reducing costs.
  4. Ad-Hoc Projects: Support the year-end process for financial reporting and undertake other projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  5. Team Support: Collaborate with the team to complete regular tasks, including month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  6. Query Resolution: Analyze and resolve queries from insurers, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
  7. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills.
  8. Industry Experience: Proven experience of group finance functions in mid-to-large size financial services firms.
  9. Education: Educated to a minimum of degree level (2:1 classification and above).
  10. Implementation Experience: Experience of implementing control procedures, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial operations.
