Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic events catering business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our food buses, ensuring seamless communication with event organizers, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our food buses, ensuring everything from inventory to team management is on point.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, placing orders as needed to keep us fully stocked and ready to serve.
- Logistics and Coordination: Organize logistics related to vehicle movement for events, ensuring we are in the right place at the right time.
- Event Execution: Ensure all opening and closing procedures of the food trucks are completed to the highest standard.
- Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact with event organizers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Act 1974 and Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations 2013, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the team, including cooks, servers, and other employees, providing leadership and support.
- Quality Control: Support the team in the preparation and serving of food, ensuring high-quality service throughout.
- Disciplinary Matters: Supervise your team during events, addressing welfare concerns and managing disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Customer Requests: Handle customer requests and complaints with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain food equipment, ensuring everything from refrigerators to cookware is in good working order.
- Cleanliness: Uphold high levels of cleanliness within all work areas.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential, and a Category C Licence is a bonus.
- Catering and Hospitality Experience: Experience in the catering and hospitality industry is required.
- POS Systems and Computer Knowledge: Proficiency with POS systems and computer knowledge is necessary.
- Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques are required.
- Cash Handling and Sales: Experience in cash handling and sales is essential.
- Food Safety Standards: Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is required.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and overnight stays during events is necessary.
- Food Safety Certification: A minimum of Food Safety Level 2 certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to stand for long periods during events is essential.
