About the Role:

As a key member of our Utilities Division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental compliance on-site for our utility contracts. Your expertise in environmental science and ecology will be instrumental in conducting pre-operational surveys, preparing forestry management plans, and auditing site visits to ensure compliance is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise utility contracts on powerlines and railway infrastructure to guarantee environmental compliance
  • Conduct pre-operational environmental/ecological surveys for protected species and other environmental constraints
  • Develop and prepare forestry environmental management plans (FEMPs) to client satisfaction
  • Audit site visits to ensure compliance is achieved on-site
  • Compile guidance on best practices and recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare site planning and operational maps, as well as basic site setup and pre-start briefs
  • Develop project plans and reports
  • Comply with company and client procedures
  • Complete on-site assessments and compile reports on findings
  • Assist with submission of project documentation
  • Complete CAR registrations relating to watercourse management on forestry sites
  • Complete species protection plans and license submissions

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and driven individual with a passion for sustainability and a strong background in environmental science. A current driving license is required for this role, and travel across Scotland will be involved. Prior to commencing employment, you will need to evidence your right to work in the UK.
