About Us

Ener-Vate is a trusted commercial advisor and partner to clients within the decentralised energy/low carbon heating sector. We support our clients through all stages of feasibility, business case development, commercialisation, funding applications, procurement, project management, and asset management of low carbon energy infrastructure delivered via an Energy Services Company.

Job Role
  1. To drive customer connection sales, leading the customer journey from initial contact to signed connections/agreements, generating revenue through delivery contracts for internal schemes and success fees on external schemes.
  2. To manage multiple customers and stakeholders, reporting pipeline progress and managing back-office support functions to drive sales processes.
  3. To proactively engage with customers to ensure high-quality and accurate data gathering as per client contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales of various customer agreements with diverse entities, including Housing Developers, Local Authorities, corporates, and individual SMEs.
  • Identification of sales opportunities through industry and customer networks and pre-identified engagement lists.
  • Maintenance of high-quality data provision, working with customers and adhering to client contract requirements.
  • Review of opportunities with Head of Network Development to filter those with higher likelihood of success and update pipeline trackers accordingly.
  • Contract performance reporting for Ener-Vate's sales support to external parties.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in sales and sales management, managing senior-management level relationships and supporting up to board level in complex customer organisations/public sector organisations.
  • Experience in direct customer contract negotiation, understanding trade-off strategies, price/cost bounds, and red lines.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple customers, conflicting demands, and deadlines through effective time management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills for various customer types and forums.
