Job Title: Automotive Electrical Engineer - Installation and Service

Location: Oxfordshire, UK

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + overtime

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced automotive electrical engineer to join our team. As an installation and service engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 3rd party equipment on vehicles, trailers, and assets across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Fitting and servicing of equipment such as vehicle tracking & telematics systems, CCTV systems, safety systems, lighting systems, and in-cab terminals.
  2. Ensuring installations meet company standards and customer specifications.
  3. Investigating and diagnosing service-related issues with vehicular electrical systems and installed equipment.
  4. Communicating professionally with customers and colleagues to provide first-class customer service.

Requirements:

  • Experienced engineer with strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems (12V & 24V).
  • CANbus system understanding (JBUS & VBUS) and knowledge of trailer EBS systems are desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain professional in all situations.
  • A full clean driving license is essential.
