Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Precision Grinder to join our team at Retrack Personnel Holdings Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for cylindrical grinding and surface grinding of high precision components.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating Myford Cylindrical grinders
Cylindrical Grinding of small diameter journals to +/- microns in low volume production
Fitting and dressing of grinding wheels
Using companies MRP system for attendance and booking on and off works order cards
Maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures

Requirements

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above
Abrasive Wheel Qualification
Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent

Desirable Skills

Manual grinding using Jones and Shipmen and Myford grinders
Grinding small batch work for Aerospace components
Proven experience of grinding to tight limits (=/- microns)
Work to drawings, procedures and specifications
Understand fits and tolerances
Uses of hand tools and measuring equipment
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Hourly Rate

The hourly rate for this role is £16.52 p/h
