The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and experience in hazardous waste management.

The role comes with a competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,000 and a range of benefits, including 25 days' holiday and a bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Chemist will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting with the operation of the hazardous waste site, ensuring materials are safe and compliant with regulations.
  2. Testing, sorting, and bulking of waste materials.
  3. Maintaining records and databases for the Transfer Station.
  4. Out-of-hours sampling, lab testing, and packing waste at customer sites.
  5. Providing technical advice on chemicals to colleagues and other divisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong background in chemistry, preferably with an HNC/HND or degree.
  2. A full UK driving license.
  3. An interest in the environmental and waste management industry.
  4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
