This role is based at Pound Road, a supported living service registered for 3 people, consisting of 2 independent flats and a sleep-in area.

The individuals residing at Pound Road enjoy various activities, including trips out, visits to historical places, and cinema trips.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an adult care specialist, working closely with individuals with autism to promote independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to individuals with autism, promoting independence and confidence
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as cooking and personal care
  • Encouraging participation in activities and outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to management

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. social work, psychology)
  • Experience working with adults with autism or similar learning disabilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
