About the Role
This is a skilled Scientific Glassblower position where you will assist in the manufacture of a wide variety of optical sampling components and accessories and scientific glassware.
You will work in conjunction with skilled users of optical components in an environment that emphasizes manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand finish to tight quality control specifications
- Apply knowledge and expertise to assess and solve problems
- Maintain a safe work environment following all protocol and safety standards
- Maintain all tools and equipment
- Train and support the growth of less skilled team members, as appropriate
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience, ideally in a production environment
- Demonstrable experience working with quartz and pyrex materials
- Experience in both bench work and lathe work
