**Job Summary**
This role is crucial in ensuring the ongoing optimised operation of the site. The successful candidate will work with other technical, operational and engineering disciplines to identify, engineer and deliver projects that improve safety, operability and profitability.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for working closely with plant managers and operations teams to define project goals, milestones and deliverables. They will also prepare cost estimates for projects, compile and submit capital expenditure requests.
**Key Responsibilities**
Project Delivery:
- Provide process engineering expertise in the design stage of projects, addressing issues such as pressure relief dossier preparation and hazardous area classification.
- Own and manage the budget for projects, providing periodic updates to enable reporting of performance to the site senior team.
- Ensure compliance to our project delivery procedures.
Operational Excellence:
- Work closely with operations teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Attend safety review meetings for new projects and existing operational plants, ensuring all risks of operation are managed to ALARP.
Leadership and Development:
- Become the process expert for discreet areas of the site, providing engineering input into root cause analysis, debottlenecking and troubleshooting exercises.
