About the Role

As a Support Worker at Ty Carreg, you will play a vital role in the lives of the individuals, supporting their daily activities and personal development. You will work closely with a dedicated team, including therapists and other support workers, to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the physical and emotional needs of the individuals are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Support our people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in the individuals, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
  • Work together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • A driving licence is not essential, but would be advantageous.
