Senior Sustainability Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team at Carbonbit. As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals and reduce their environmental impact.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing sustainable solutions for our clients
- Conducting gap audits on energy efficiency, waste, carbon, and wider sustainability metrics
- Supporting the development and implementation of ISO50001 / ISO14001 services
- Managing life cycle cost analyses for various projects
- Developing software-based scenario risk models for decarbonisation and waste management strategies
- Leading the development and delivery of sustainable certifications, ISSB, TNFD, SBTi, B Corp, CSDDD, CSRD, CDP
- Leading Decarbonisation / Circular Economy strategies and ESG reporting
- Driving business development initiatives
- Providing Technical Review activities and acting as a core team member
- Overseeing project management
- Continuously enhancing expertise and qualifications
Key Performance Indicator Areas:
- Deliver exceptional service and project outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations
- Provide timely, accurate management information and solutions
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
- Provide regular opportunity analyses to influence company direction and strategy
- Contribute to profitable revenue growth, supporting the company's plans
Ideal Knowledge:
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory and voluntary frameworks surrounding decarbonisation and the circular economy
- Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience in decarbonisation and circular economy consulting, or as an in-house specialist, with a minimum 2+ years in a SC or equivalent role
- Ability to communicate complex sustainability concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
- Familiarity with optimisation, digitalisation, AI/ML, and smart technologies and how they can enhance internal processes and client solutions
- Extensive experience providing practical recommendations on decarbonisation, carbon accounting, and the circular economy to stakeholders

Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Master's or advanced degree in a related subject
- Possession of a relevant professional qualification, such as CEnv or CEM, or actively working towards one
