SEND Teacher for Special Needs Children

A rewarding teaching position is available at Academics Ltd, a leading provider of educational services, for a dedicated and experienced SEND teacher. The ideal candidate will have the ability to start immediately and confidently cover all year groups at a SEND school in Birmingham.
About the School
The children who attend this school have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and require support with cognition and learning needs. This may include Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech Language and Communication Difficulties, or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our Approach
The school provides a tailored curriculum that extends the National Curriculum framework. Our programmes are designed to meet the individual needs of each child and provide a natural progression towards full participation within the National Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children. Teach at a good to outstanding consistent level. Manage behaviour effectively. Be flexible around the school working routine and adapt to changing needs. Utilise resources effectively to enhance children's attainment levels. Plan and think strategically. Handle stressful situations patiently and calmly.
