Shift Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Lutterworth. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful maintenance of our site through planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize an electronic maintenance scheduler to select, carry out, and sign off planned maintenance.
  • Ensure all building and maintenance schedules are met, either by the in-house engineering team or through organizing subcontractors.
  • Maintain areas of the site with additional ad-hoc project work (power/data/plumbing).
  • Oversee and assume responsibility for any specialist contractors on site, ensuring they work safely and to a high standard.
  • Deal with any jams or issues, as well as mechanical and/or electrical fault finding and subsequent repairs.
  • Regular PPM and shift cover for a mid-size conveyor used for both totes and master cartons.
  • Weekly testing of the site sprinkler system.
  • Site-wide lighting maintenance.
  • Basic level control and fault finding of the fire alarm system.
  • Ad-hoc works/project work.
  • Maintenance of bay doors and dock levellers.
  • General building maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Electrically biased - No need for 18th Edition, but official electrical training is expected.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experienced within site and automation maintenance (ideally conveyors).
  • Computer literate and comfortable recording activities and updating the engineers on the opposite shift.
