Job Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Assessor and Trainer with a strong background in assessing and teaching, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for delivering virtual classroom sessions, assessing learner work, and providing constructive feedback.

You will also travel to complete workplace assessments, employer/learner 12-week reviews, and support the endpoint assessment process for apprentice learners. Additionally, you will maintain your own occupational CPD annually and attend update meetings, standardisation, and CPD as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold an accepted vocational assessor qualification, e.g., A1 or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
  • Hold a teaching qualification, e.g., Cert Ed, L3 AET, L4 CET, L5 DET.
  • Be confident supporting learners to develop their English and maths skills, including functional skills.
  • Have own transport and be willing to travel.
  • Be confident in the use of ICT to promote and support teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Be able to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in the subject/vocational area, and aware of the needs and concerns of employers reasonable distances to undertake workplace assessment and monitoring visits.
  • Be flexible and able to work as part of a team.

What We Offer

We offer an estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience and location, plus a range of benefits, including:
