Senior Software Engineer

We're partnering with a product and software business to hire a Senior Software Engineer to build a secure and scalable data platform capable of processing large volumes of data and developing digital applications handling thousands of users.

The business has a clear product market fit and a growing customer base, but a huge scope of opportunity from a digital product perspective. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be reporting into the Head of Software Development and collaborating closely with the product team to develop an event-driven Azure-hosted data platform with the backend written in C# and Python.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be involved in:

  • Designing and developing microservices;
  • Advancing the development of their data platform, enhancing the ingestion process and expanding C#-based APIs;
  • Collaborating with Cloud Engineers, backend and front-end developers to develop a secure and scalable data platform.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • C# and Python;
  • React or JavaScript;
  • ORM Tools (SQL Alchemy, Django or EF Core);
  • Unit testing (xUnit, pytest, React Testing Library or Jest);
  • Experience within DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines;
  • Feature flag software releases.
