About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Secretary to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our doctors, practice manager, and business manager, ensuring the administrative burden for clinicians and team members is minimized.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide an efficient audio and copy typing service for GPs and health professionals as required.
- Action referrals on SystmOne via tasks, ensuring forms have been completed correctly and sending them either by email or via eReferrals.
- Establish and maintain filing and administrative systems to ensure written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
- Retrieve medical records and assist the completion of medical and insurance records.
- Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others.
- Maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.
- Provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of sickness and annual leave.
- Liaise with the clerk responsible to maintain adequate supplies of office stationery.
- Receive and dispatch mail and maintain a pending system.
