The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operative / Shunter Driver to join our team at our Doncaster site. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our factory, including shunting and tipping raw materials, loading and unloading products, and operating heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shunt and tip delivered raw materials from bulk trailers
  • Load and unload products onto trailers
  • Operate the tele-handler to move materials around the factory
  • Ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Work on a picking belt to sort fresh and frozen meat products
  • Clean factory areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Undertake general site housekeeping duties
  • Drive a forklift truck and operate machinery to move produce
  • Complete any necessary paperwork and reports

Requirements

  • Hold a valid forklift truck license
  • Previous experience in a shunting or material handling role would be advantageous
  • Be comfortable working in a cold factory environment
  • Previous experience in a process industry would be beneficial
  • Be a strong communicator and team player
  • Be self-motivated and able to manage your own workload
