The role of Compliance Administrator at the University of Bristol involves providing administrative support to the Compliance team within Building services. This role balances the peaks and troughs of different administrative support activities and provides support to the wider Divisional team, under the direction of the Manager, to deliver the most effective service across the range of activities the School/Faculty/Division provides.

This role requires the ability to develop filing and administrative systems, spreadsheets, web pages, reports, and other documents as required to ensure relevant information is available to those who need it. The successful candidate will also be responsible for gathering and manipulating routine data, handling confidential documentation with appropriate care, and dealing proactively with queries on behalf of the Manager.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions. They will also be able to be discreet and protect confidentiality, and have experience of working in a busy and demanding environment, under pressure at times, to produce accurate work to deadlines.

The role also involves using and understanding central databases and information systems relevant to the area of work, ordering and receipting items to manage the supply of goods and services, arranging and servicing team/departmental or Faculty level meetings, and undertaking diary management for senior managers and/or academics.

Key responsibilities include:
